SEP 2025 Proceedings – AI and the Erosion of Democracy

We are pleased to announce the publication of the official proceedings of the 31st annual System and Ethical Approaches Conference (SEP 2025), held under the theme “AI Power and the Erosion of Democracy.”

The volume includes ten academic papers by members of DEL and partner institutions, addressing the societal and ethical impact of AI on democracy, trust in institutions, algorithmic power, social media platforms, disinformation, and responsible AI design.
Highlights include a case study of the Romanian elections, theoretical models of the human–machine relationship, and a practical framework for ethical AI in marketing.
