Final Presentation of the MSE Study at Aspen Annual Conference 2024

The Aspen Annual Conference is one of the most important platforms in the Central European region where leaders from politics, business, science and culture come together to discuss key issues of the future. This year’s conference, which took place on 14 November at Prague Crossroads, offered a platform for crucial discussions on values, technological development and economic prosperity.

This prestigious event saw the final presentation of the study “MSE: The Role of Key Actors in Strengthening the Competitiveness of the Czech Republic”, which we collaborated on with the Aspen Institute Central Europe. This study focused on exploring the role of regional institutions such as regions, chambers of commerce and innovation centres and their support for small and medium-sized enterprises (MSEs). The aim was to identify ways to make digitisation more efficient, improve access to information and support the implementation of modern technologies.

The panel discussion that was part of the programme offered deeper insights into the results of the study and presented concrete recommendations for key stakeholders. The panel featured: the Minister of Industry and Trade, Lukáš Vlček, and other distinguished guests such as Richard A. Novák Founder, Prague Data Ethics Lab and CEO of OmniCrane; and František Štrupl Country Director, Google.

We want to thank all the partners involved in the implementation of this study and especially the Aspen Institute Central Europe for the opportunity to present our joint results in such an important forum. We hope this study will contribute to developing strategic approaches to promoting MSEs and inspire further initiatives.
